About

Ludwigshafen and BASF have been inseparably linked for 140 years - Reason enough for the world's largest chemical company to build a new visitor center in Ludwigshafen. After a construction period of 20 months, Prime Minister Kurt Beck opens the new building on site - a meeting place for over 50,000 visitors from all over the world.

The innovative exhibition is experience space and classic exhibition in one: At around 2,000 square meters, state-of-the-art information technology provides interesting insights into BASF and the world of chemistry. Over 400 varied exhibits invite you to explore for yourself - from the car door and the special plastic for sneaker soles to organic light-emitting diodes for the displays of the future. In cooperation with the agency flying saucer, visavis produced more than 60 exhibition films.

The highlight of the visitor center is the 180 ° panorama cinema with the film "Shaping The Future". It invites visitors on a journey into the future and shows BASF's innovations for the world of tomorrow.
